The year of 2016 is about to end, and on this occasion I thank to all my regular readers. Wishing you all a very Happy and prosperous New Year. The Year of 2016 was great if I don’t count demonetization that happened in the month of November. We traveled to several remarkable destinations in India and delivered some crazy travelogues through this website. We have reached the end of this memorable year and already planned our 2017 travel list. We have explored the length and breadth of North India tourist places, which included hills & valleys, spiritual destinations, and various landmarks. In this post, I am sharing some of the best moments we had during our trips in 2016 to various locations.

Stroll on camel’s back road Mussoorie

We visited Mussoorie in monsoon, which is not at all a good season to visit anywhere in Uttarakhand because the state receives heavy rainfall during monsoon and the surface becomes slippery causing lots of accidents and injuries. It was on the last day of our trip to Mussoorie, that we decided to take a stroll on camel’s back road on a wet climate. It was a wonderful experience which provided up peace of mind and immense pleasure, that we never felt before. The multi-colored sky and the mesmerizing valleys covered with mist had a magical effect on our stroll. Walking in the clouds with my loved ones, made my trip.

Having tea at Snow View Point in Nainital

Admire himalaya

We visited Nainital in early November 2016 and hired a resort at snow view point. On the first day of our trip, we were extremely tired and was left with no energy for sightseeing. So, we decided to stay back at our resort and take a stroll on snow view point, which was very near to our resort. We stopped at small local refreshment center and ordered tea with some snacks. It was approx 4.30 in the evening, but the visibility was dim, due to climate, hands were shivering with cold and that hot ginger tea in hand with the mesmerizing sight of sky touching peaks was an unmatched experience. We had several other activities in Nainital, but this experience we will cherish ever.

Enjoying the icy cool breeze at marhi

We visited Manali in the month of May and had several fun activities like rafting, sightseeing, rope bouncing etc. But the best thing we did there was to sit beside the amazing river Vyas and spending the time leisurely. We were energized and enjoyed the icy cool breeze over there. The moment beside river Vyas was amazing and turned out to be the best moments we had in 2016.

Single day trip to Golden Triangle (Delhi, Agra, Jaipur)

Places to visit in Agra

Our last trip this year was the golden triangle tourist circuit in Uttar Pradesh, which included trip to Delhi, Agra and Jaipur. The best thing about it was that it was single day trip, which required planning in scientific manner, we allotted time evenly to each spot and visited landmarks like Taj Mahal, Agra fort etc. We started our trip at an early hour of 5 A.M and had a great sense of achievement, when we completed the trip at 11.45 P.M.
